But we all know that its biggest archenemy is not your One Plus, Xiaomi, or Vivo, not because these are not great devices, on the contrary, they are incredible devices with the Vivo X200 Pro outperforming the Samsung in many camera tests. But the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the phone that the Samsung S25 Ultra will be fighting to beat because that is just how is - Pepsi vs Coca Cola, Messi vs Ronaldo, Samsung vs Apple.

Verdict: As at today, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is the best mobile chipset in the market, considerably superior tot he A18 Pro. So, Samsung wins! This is not a slight on the 16 Pro Max as optimisation is Apple’s bread and butter and there is no way you will notice and performance lag on your phone.

Verdict: Camera is tough to call, Samsung made some improvement despite maintaining the same hardware with the exception of the ultrawide camera that was bumped to 50MP but still fall slightly short of the iPhone 16 Pro Max especially in video recording and noise reduction-the difference is minimal but it’s still there. 16 Pro Max wins here on a technicality.
