Introduction
“Oga Bassey” is the trading name for the Oga Bassey group of companies listed at Appendix 1. Each Oga Bassey group company (“Oga Bassey” or “we”) operates an e-commerce platform consisting of a website (“marketplace”) that facilitates the online purchase of various gadgets.
Terms and Conditions of Limited Warranty
1. Ogabassey used products carry full warranty for 14 days from date of purchase. If product is found defective and does not arise as a result of damage from the user or usage of such product is covered.
2. Ogabassey brand new products purchased fall under standard manufacturer’s warranty and conditions which are redeemable at manufacturer’s warranty/service centers within and outside Nigeria as applicable.
3. Ogabassey reserves the right to replace a brand new product purchased, this is solely at ogabassey’s discretion and only applies if product is found to have a hardware manufacturers defect/fault upon physical inspection . This is redeemable if reported within 7 days from purchase date. Only the defective device can be replaced, accessories contained with the device cannot be replaced.
4. Ogabassey accessories carry warranty for 7 days. If product is found defective and does not arise as a result of users carelessness or usage such product is covered.
Returns and refunds
Returns of products by buyers shall be managed by us in accordance with the returns page on the marketplace as may be amended from time to time. Acceptance of returns shall be in our discretion subject to compliance with applicable laws of the territory.
Refunds in respect of returned products shall be managed in accordance with the refunds page on the marketplace as may be amended from time to time. Our rules on refunds shall be exercised in our discretion subject to applicable laws of the territory. We may offer refunds in our discretion:
in respect of the product price;
local and/or international shipping fees (as stated on the refunds page); and
by way of store credits vouchers mobile money transfer bank transfers or such other methods as we may determine from time to time.

Changes to our returns page or refunds page shall be effective in respect of all purchases made from the date of publication of the change on our website.

You must make payments due under these general terms and conditions in accordance with the Payments Information and Guidelines on the marketplace.

Rules about your content
In these general terms and conditions your content means:
all works and materials (including without limitation text graphics images audio material video material audio-visual material scripts software and files) that you submit to us or our marketplace for storage or publication processing by or onward transmission; and
all communications on the marketplace including product reviews feedback and comments.
Your content and the use of your content by us in accordance with these general terms and conditions must be accurate complete and truthful.
Your content must be appropriate civil and tasteful and accord with generally accepted standards of etiquette and behaviour on the internet and must not:
be offensive obscene indecent pornographic lewd suggestive or sexually explicit;
depict violence in an explicit graphic or gratuitous manner; or
be blasphemous in breach of racial or religious hatred or discrimination legislation;
be deceptive fraudulent threatening abusive harassing anti-social menacing hateful discriminatory or inflammatory;
cause annoyance inconvenience or needless anxiety to any person; or
constitute spam.
Your content must not be illegal or unlawful infringe any person’s legal rights or be capable of giving rise to legal action against any person (in each case in any jurisdiction and under any applicable law). Your content must not infringe or breach:
any copyright moral right database right trademark right design right right in passing off or other intellectual property right;
any right of confidence right of privacy or right under data protection legislation;
any contractual obligation owed to any person; or
any court order.
You must not use our marketplace to link to any website or web page consisting of or containing material that would were it posted on our marketplace breach the provisions of these general terms and conditions.
You must not submit to our marketplace any material that is or has ever been the subject of any threatened or actual legal proceedings or other similar complaint.
The review function on the marketplace may be used to facilitate buyer reviews on products. You shall not use the review function or any other form of communication to provide inaccurate inauthentic
Other Terms and Conditions
1. Warranty is valid upon presentation of proof of purchase. Ogabassey reserves the right to refuse warranty if information such as purchase date, model and serial number has been altered.
2. Ogabassey obligations are limited to repair of the defect or defective product or at ogabassey’s discretion, the replacement of the entire product.
3. Repair or replacement of product does not provide right to renewal or extension of warranty period.
The Limited Warranty does not cover the following:
Abuse or misuse of product, replacement of parts by non verified Ogabassey service centers, failure to adhere to manufacturer’s instructions in terms of product usage and accessories used, accidents such as dropping or falling, damage due to spillage of food/liquids, act of God, water, fire, wrong usage of electrical supply and voltage corrosion, voltage fluctuations, exposure to excessive temperature, exposure to moisture or dampness (whether corrosion occurs), sand, dust, dirt, misuse, mishandling, tampering, neglect, abuse such as shock, rusting or stains, improper installation, unauthorized modifications carried out to the product, failure to follow normal operating procedure or any other event beyond the control of Ogabassey including deficiencies in consumable parts such as battery leakage or normal wear and tear of the product.
